This 6 page report discusses
the 1957 movie “I Was a Teenage Werewolf” directed by Gene
Fowler, Jr., produced by Samuel Z. Arkoff, and starring the actor
who went on to become “Little Joe,” “Pa Ingalls” and “Jonathon
Smith,” Michael Landon. It seems that in 1957, the idea of a
teenage boy turning into a monster at the hands of an evil doctor
was as far as American imagination could stretch. In a number of
ways, the movie was a comedy, a horror film, a teenage angst
movie, and even something of a social commentary. Bibliography
lists 3 sources.
