A 6 page comparison of the motives, character, reputation and value system of these two very different characters. Although Crito allows another to shape his opinions and actions, he is inherently driven by much more commendable motives than is Tovold. While Tovold’s motive is to control others, Crito’s is to watch out for the interest of his friend. While Tovold seeks money, Crito is willing to give it away if it will only save the life of his friend. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
