Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) is a nonprofit organization whose primary focus is to alleviate the stigma and struggle associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD). Daily life can be quite a struggle for adults and children who live with this disorder inasmuch as their ability to focus upon and complete tasks is limited by their distracted thought processes. Children's inappropriate behavior is often misinterpreted as being uncontrollably rebellious which causes many problems at school and home; adults have difficulty holding stead jobs due to their incapacity for maintaining concentration or being detail-oriented.
