Public interest incorporates a number of aspects with regard to decision-making, not the least of which includes convenience, concern and wellbeing. Public best interest, on the other hand, is the act of making decisions based solely upon what is provides the public with the best of all options while at the same time removing the potential for leaders' to overrule the right decision based upon their own self-interests.
