Firestone Tires, Ford, and More than 100 Deaths

[ send me this term paper ]
This 6 page report discusses the fact that people have been killed in accidents that involved Ford’s sports utility vehicle “Explorers” that had come equipped with Firestone tires. The treads on certain tires have been shown to separate from the tire belt. When that happens, the tire has a “blow-out” and when that tire blows out (a normally manageable situation) on a Ford Explorer, the vehicle flips over. Despite the obvious safety issues, there are also fundamental economic issues of supply and demand at work.Bibliography lists 5 sources.
