how best to use a $75,000 budget intended to establish an international club at a university with
only nine minority students. The purpose is to promote diversity in a meaningful way, rather than
creating a series of minority-group organizations that tend to promote separatism rather than
understanding. The paper suggests using $50,000 as supplemental scholarship awards and

increased understanding and the forging of true friendships across ethnic and cultural lines.
