Indeed, the notion of sexuality represented two entirely different concepts to these men from its very definition to the manner by which it should be studied to its overall place within society. Looking at Freud's approach from the rather obscure perspective of his Oedipus complex and Kinsey's from a viewpoint of highly tangible statistics leads one to believe that sexuality can represent two very different ideals depending upon its interpretation.
