A 6 page research paper that examines the kingship of Henry V as pictured in Shakespeare's play. The writer's examination of Shakespeare's characterization of Henry V demonstrates that Shakespeare saw this monarch as an exemplary example of the elements of kingship. Also, a brief survey of Edward Powell's Kingship, Law and Society: Criminal Justice in the Reign of Henry V, demonstrates that Shakespeare's assessment of Henry V is largely supported by historical scholarship.
