This 7 page report discusses a fictious company called
“Brackett Heating and Air.” The company has been able to survive
the various fluctuations of the economy and the technological
changes and advancements, as well as changing regulatory
environment, in the heating and air conditioning industry.
Brackett has been a successful, family-owned company since the
late 1960s and its owners and managers are determined that it
will remain successful well into the new millennium. The
company’s management team is examining the impact of a number of
microeconomic variables with which the company must deal and be
prepared to face. They are working to develop an operational plan
that will be implemented over the period of the next two years.
They are also working to identify the microeconomic factors as
well as broad-based economic conditions that will have an impact
