5 pages in length. Suburbia represents a great deal of importance for cities today in that it provides an outlet for those who cannot or do not want to live within the confines of an overpopulated environment. There exist inherent problems for urban cities that have reached and surpassed the number of people they can comfortably and productively hold. This is when outlying districts come especially into play, as they grant city dwellers the opportunity to escape into a decidedly more serene atmosphere. Not only does this diversion help to diffuse potentially disastrous circumstances with respect to problems associated with overcrowding, but it also enables people to experience and appreciate a life other than that of the rat race. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
