Singapore's Unfolding Future

[ send me this term paper ]
A 14 page paper examining Singapore's rise from one of the world's poorest nations in 1960 to a mature economy in the 1990s, and discussing conditions necessary for other developing nations to be able to effectively adopt the Singapore model. Singapore began with a series of 5-year plans to which the government religiously adhered. As it has become fashionable to condemn globalization, Singapore remains as an example of things done right. Influx of FDI and economic expansion has dramatically increased the citizenry's standard of living, but the government has maintained strict control so that Singapore's national culture and character have been preserved. Bibliography lists 13 sources.
