This 4 page report discusses an important secondary
character in the play. Enobarbus, the Roman soldier who is Mark
Antony’s trusted friend in Shakespeare’s “Antony and Cleopatra”
is to provide something of a rational voice that foresees the
disaster that is certain to befall his friend and commander. One
of Enobarbus most important purposes in the play is to serve as
the audience’s guide and insight to the legends and stories that
surround the queen and the woman who is Cleopatra and to also let
the audience know that the story is not likely to turn out well.
