A 4 page paper discussing the use and importance of IT at a small home health care organization. There are many improvements that could be made to the existing information system, some of which already have been planned. The goal is to design and implement a system that will provide nearly-instantaneous updates that reflect physician orders right away; generate periodic reports automatically; and provide automated billing and payment reconciliation. The new system also will contain an automated inventory system that will alert people when supplies need to be reordered.
