A 4 page review of Ouchi's book about Theory Z -- a Japanese organizational management principle that has been applied with great success to many American businesses. By definition, in a Type Z company, the explicit and the implicit seemingly exist in a state of balance. While decisions outweigh the complete analysis of facts, they are also shaped by serious attention to questions of whether or not this decision is even suitable, whether it "fits" the company. Much of the book presents comparison between Japanese & American business styles. A number of key concepts and terms are defined. No other sources are cited.
